Clergy Support Trust Service
13th May 2025St Pauls Cathedral
I attended the 370th Festival Service at St Pauls Cathedral, put on by the Clergy Support Trust. In company with other Masters, we processed in our gowns to our seats under the cathedral dome, settling down to enjoy a fine service.
Much of the singing was done by the three choirs in attendance, from St Paul's itself, and those from Lichfield and Bradford Cathedrals, each taking it in turn to sing very fine pieces.
It was also clear from the speakers that a typical Church of England stipend is not that much and therefore a significant proportion of the clergy in England need and get assistance from the Clergy Support Trust. Given how much the clergy support the rest of the community, it is well worth supporting the Clergy Support Trust!
