Help Musicians UK’s Annual Celebration of Music (previously k/a Festival of St Cecilia)

Help Musicians UK’s Annual Celebration of Music (previously k/a Festival of St Cecilia)

22nd November 2023

Westminster Cathedral

I had never actually been to Westminster Cathedral before. Instinctively I went in the direction of the renowned Westminster Abbey, where I had been on numerous occasions. However, once I arrived at the stunning Cathedral, I realised how special it really is. There is a school attached to the Cathedral and I was taken by the peals of laughter emanating from the hallway as I and other Livery Masters made our way round the winding staircase to find our positions. Sandra and Wayne were on hand to assist. Once robed and in line, we processed to our places. Courtney was sitting with IPM Paul Taberer and Sharon. Third Warden Jacqueline Burrows and Fourth Warden Mallory Factor were resplendent in their robes while Simon and Elizabeth watched them deftly making their way while singing! It was a spectacular event full of warmth and splendid music. It was a great occasion for Masters and Wardens to participate together while recognising and supporting Musicians UK.
