City Beerfest
6th July 2023Guildhall Yard
It is officially summer in the City, when the annual City Beerfest stakes a claim on the Guildhall Yard with an afternoon of beer, food and music.
City Beerfest was created in 2013 as a joint initiative between the Lord Mayor’s Appeal, City Music Foundation and the Worshipful Company of Brewers. It is an opportunity to raise a glass or two or three or four and help three fantastic causes continue delivering ground-breaking programmes that help change, and save, lives.
I had an opportunity to toast City Councilman, Henry Pollard, who in two weeks time will become the Master of the Guild of Investment Managers.
Not unsurprisingly, the beerfest features an array of local brew: light, dark, ciders and more as well as multi cultural food stalls. I sampled an Argentinian empanada while sipping my light beer.
Altogether a great place to meet friends, and soak in the sun while contributing to charitable causes.
