Lunch at Stationers’ Hall

26th June 2023

Yesterday I was pleased to be joined by my Consort, Courtney Lambert, Senior Warden Henry Tuck and Fourth Warden Mallory Factor at the recently renovated hall of the Stationers’ Company. We shared a table with two Liverymen from the Carmen, one of whom was instrumental in the recently opened Elizabeth Line. The Elizabeth Line boosted property prices in suburban Reading, which is near my home. I was delighted to be able to thank Trevor in person on their behalf!

The Stationers’ Hall is celebrating their 350th Birthday this year with a Coronation Ball this coming Friday. Certainly the post luncheon for the Election of Sheriffs was a wonderful precursor to the upcoming feast. The two newly elected Sheriffs stopped by the pre luncheon drinks reception to give their thanks for the unanimous election results. The Stationers and Newspaper Makers Master, Moira Sleight welcomed all and added to the celebratory mood.
