Inter-Livery Clay Shoot - the 29'th

17th May 2023

West London Shooting School, Northolt

Not able to participate this year, I joined our team for a bacon roll and their first two (of 12) drives at The West London Shooting School (Northolt) for the 29th annual inter-livery shoot. The school was established in 1901 and is a new venue for this event.

The team, captained by PM Adam Bennett, included Court Assistant Colin Ritchie and Liverymen Adam Phillips and David Smith. They appeared to be in form for the first 2 drives and I suspect my future prospects to re-join the team are in jeopardy!

This is always a great day with some 70 Livery Companies fielding a team – so popular that it’s held over 2 days with 260 guns each day and many prizes to be won – and proceeds for several charities including The Lord Mayor’s Appeal and The Gamekeepers Welfare Fund.

The results will be published sometime in the next few days – hoping for the best!
