Worshipful Company of Security Professionals - Lecture

26th April 2023

Army & Navy Club

The Master Security Professionals kindly invited me, along with about ten other Masters, to their annual Lord Imbert Security Lecture – held this year at The Army & Navy Club, Pall Mall, London.

The speaker was Professor Alison Wakefield – co-director Cybersecurity and Criminology Centre University of West London – she holds several awards and honours in the security space and has several publications including her latest book ‘Security and Crime: Converging Perspectives on a Complex World’.

We learnt of the challenges and complexities thrown at us in this era of the 4th Industrial Revolution – what to look out for and measures to put in place to handle the dynamics.

It was most thought provoking emphasising the pace of technology change and cybercrime! We can’t rest on our laurels!

The Army & Navy Club proved to be a great venue and provided enjoyable wines and canapés to round off the evening.
