W Co of International Bankers Annual Banquet

W Co of International Bankers Annual Banquet

15th March 2023

Mansion House

The tube strike to not deter from 330 guests attending the W Co of Intl. Bankers Annual Banquet in the Egyptian Hall – a spectacle attended by around 20 Masters. The seating plan was 5 pages!

Master Intl Banker, Jason Van Praagh hosted a fabulous event. The Lord Mayor and Mayoress were also in attendance, along with various other dignitaries.

We were entertained by the London Banqueting Ensemble, enjoyed a wonderful meal and great selection of drinks, and listened to a very good speech from the L M (the focus being on driving efforts to keep the city at the forefront of the financial world, along with several of his other good initiatives).

The Master, Jason, responded highlighting the good work the Intl Bankers do with cadets and charity and how London has been good to him since arriving some 30 years ago from Australia. He then presented various awards.

The Stirrup Cup came and went quickly – all too soon to journey 90 minutes back home to the West End! I guess more comfortable than the Lady Mayoress's sleep out in Guildhall Yard tomorrow night!
