International Women's Day Celebration - World Traders

8th March 2023

Goodenough College Great Hall

The Worshipful Company of World Traders hosted a program at Goodenough College (Russell Square, London) to celebrate International Women’s Day – to which I was invited to by the Mistress!

Following an introduction from the Master W.T., The Lady Mayoress welcomed all before the keynote speaker, Chinwe Russell, delivered an inspirational talk which combined her vast experience with some of her renowned art works - in particular those relating to ’20 Historical Women Who Changed the World’ – unsung heroes celebrated on International Women’s Day.

A selection of panellists then took to the floor – including Prof Jane Anderson (IPM Apothecaries), Dr Jill Zelin Shapiro (Consort to Master W.T.) and others – all under the expert Chair of Court Assistant (W.T.) Lesley Batchelor CBE.

A most enjoyable and interesting evening which included time for some networking and drinks and snacks – kindly sponsored by CISCO.
