Masters and Clerks Dinner

The Plaisterer’s Company hosted their traditional Masters and Clerks Dinner – a great way to start the year and meet up with many Masters, Clerks and friends – I’m told 70 Masters were in attendance and almost the same number of Clerks.

The Plaisterer’s Hall is quite spectacular, of neo-classical style created by Robert Adam – the largest Hall in the City and comfortably seating all 280 guests!

Master Plaisterer Stephan Gilbert delivered a wonderful speech, focusing very much on his impressions of a Master’s duty! Master Merchant Taylor Harry Parshall was guest speaker and he too gave an entertaining speech reminding us all that they were currently ranked 6 and will be for two years. Then followed by the Plaisterer Clerk Col Garth Manger – a talented professional with several amusing anecdotes!

Not to be outdone, the chef and catering team served an exceptional meal along with copious amounts of ‘beverages’, with pianist Edward Dye providing background music during dinner.

An evening to remember in and amongst the Livery! With special thanks to the Master, Clerk and all members of Plaisterers.
