Smoking Club

12th December 2022

JJ Fox, St James'

Commuting has become a challenge in England – a little snow and transport chaos!

Nevertheless, that did not deter a great turn out for the quarterly Smoking Club kindly hosted by JJ Fox, St James’s, in their newly refurbished smoking lounge.

The event was organised by Court Assistant Stephan von Schilling – absolutely brilliant, selecting a Montecristo No2 cigar, introduced to us by JJ Fox, alongside three sherries from Gonzalez Byass (Tio Pepe En Rama, Leonor Palo Cortado 12yo and Matusalem Cream 30yo). The sherries were individually introduced to us by Arthur Voulgaris of Gonzalez Byass. A fascinating tasting, from dry to sweet! We ended the evening with some Secha De La Silva Rum.

There was a great mix of Company members and guests, and delightful to meet potential new applicants.

JJ Fox were most gracious hosts; and sincere thanks to Stephan and the Membership Committee for their organisation.

This was the final event of 2022 – time to head to the dry cleaners!

Season's Greetings to you all!
