The Lord Mayor's Show

12th November 2022

Mid November; London; sun shining; 17 Celsius! What a cracker of a day for our 3-man team to be on parade for the Lord Mayor’s Show!

Joined by the Senior Warden and Mistress, and in and amongst other Modern Livery Companies, we made our way past streets packed with well-wishers and along the traditional route from Mansion House to the Royal Courts of Justice and back again.

We received a loud cheer from Past Master Fiona Adler seated in a prime spot which added fuel to our engines!

As per tradition, the halfway stop was an hour or so on board HQS Wellington for a drink and sandwich, and chance to mingle with many others, but alas no takers for a cigar! We did get the photo outside BAT’s Globe House – a key supporter of our Company.

A most enjoyable day in a vibrant City of London atmosphere and great setting for the new Lord Mayor Alderman Nicholas Lyons. We wish him well.
