A Celebration of British Architect Robert Adam
Wednesday 26th October 2022
Plaisterers' Hall
The Plaisterers’ Master’s Consort, Vanessa Gilbert, hosted ‘A celebration of Robert Adam’ – their Hall being a reproduction of architect Robert Adams, an 18th century British neoclassical architect, interior designer and furniture designer.
The Mistress and I enjoyed a wonderful event over lunch, which included music and dancing from ‘Consort de Dance Baroque’, a talk from architectural historian Jeremy Musson and antique jeweller Robert Ogden – all themed around the Robert Adam’s era! Most interesting.
Musicians from the Royal Academy of Music treated us to some fabulous pieces to end the afternoon – violinist Braimah Kanneh-Mason and pianist Konya Kanneh-Mason – well known in the music world!
The Master Plaisterer, Stephen Gilbert, has as his chosen charity Music Masters – championing diversity and inclusion in music education…it was gratifying to witness such talented musicians!
A wonderful lunch and event in a most beautiful Hall.
