Inter Livery Quiz 2023

19th April 2023

The Pipe Makers' 2023 Quiz Team gathered in the Alderman's Dining Room at Guildhall to pit their knowledge against other Livery Company teams on 19th April. The team named 'Pipe Dreams' was made up of Immediate Past Master Jerry Merton (Team Captain), Assistant Fran Morrison, Liveryman Adam Phillips and Liveryman and Clerk Sandra Stocker.

There were 9 rounds of questions across a wide spectrum of trivia and knowledge - that is, you either knew it or you didn't :)

Also, a picture round on cheese, where we dropped a couple of points, maybe we need to do more research! Plus 60 questions on anagrams of films, shops, towns in the UK, etc., where we only dropped one point.

It was an enjoyable evening and it was a close run thing in the end with 'Pipe Dreams' coming in 4th place, 1 point of 3rd place. Congratulations to the Information Technologists and Actuaries who tied for 1st and agreed to share the trophy. Thanks to Kevin Offer of the Tax Advisers who organised the quiz and the evening.
