New Company Affiliation for the Pipe Makers

17th January 2020

On Friday 17th January 2020, The Worshipful Company of Tobacco Pipe Makers and Tobacco Blenders confirmed the new affiliation with The Irish Guards Association with a visit to Wellington Barracks. On a chilly and wind swept parade ground, the Master, Mistress, Clerk, Senior Warden Renter Warden, Immediate Past Master and Past Master Ralph Edmondson watched the timeless Changing of the Guard accompanied by the Band of the Irish Guards. The representatives of the Pipe Makers were well looked after by the Regimental Adjutant, the Assistant Regimental Adjutant and the Regimental Quartermaster Sergeant. There was time to see the Regimental Library and enjoy a drink to seal the new affiliation. We look forward to welcoming the Regimental Adjutant and The Viscount Gough, Honorary President, Irish Guards Association (West Midlands Branch) to our January Dinner and to taking this new affiliation forward and cementing our ties further.
